All of our facilities have 24 hour access, 7 days a week. The facilities are fenced and controlled by electronic keypad entry. You may come and go as you please.
The office hours are when the manager is in. During these hours our helpful agents will be available to assist you with your storage needs or moving and packing supplies. The facility hours are the hours you have to access your rented space.
Yes, all of our non-climate controlled storage units are ground level and in most cases you can drive your car right up to your unit. Our inside Climate Controlled units are easily accessible with loading docks or doors you can drive up to. There are no stairs and no elevators at any of our facilities.
We accept cash, check, money order, Master Card, Visa, Amex and Discover. We also offer a worry-free automatic credit/debit card payment plan.
Yes. You can pay for your rental unit online at all of our locations. Go to your location page, click Make A Payment. You can create your own personal login and password (remember it, we do not have access to it). Once you have created your account you can make monthly payments or you can set it up to automatically charge a credit card. You can log in anytime to monitor and make changes.
All our leases are month to month. It's that simple. You may prepay for an extended period of time if you wish.
We give you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 14 days in advance to help you plan ahead. Go the location page of your choice and select Make a Reservation.
Security varies from facility to facility. All of our facilities are fully fenced with electronic keypad access. At many of our facilities we have installed video cameras with monitors and recording devises.
Yes. You put your own lock on the unit. We sell locks at all the facilities if you need one.
Yes, you are responsible for the insurance on your goods. In some cases your home owners or renters insurance policy will cover the storage of goods at a storage facility. Storage insurance is also available at all of our facilities. We recommend that you check with your insurance provider before you come in to rent a unit.
Climate controlled units are designed to reduce the humidity build up. This is done by keeping your goods from freezing and overheating and by circulating the air. All of our climate controlled units have both heat and A/C. We keep our thermostats set at 55 degrees on the low end and 75 degrees on the high end. We also circulate the air on a continuous basis. We offer climate control units at our Canaan, New Hartford, Sheffield and Torrington locations.
You can use our Unit Size Estimator as a guide to calculating how much space you need. We highly recommend that you visit the facility and personally look at the size you are interested in before you rent.
At our Torrington facility we offer outdoor parking for recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, cars, and motorcycles. At all of our facilities, you can store your car, trailer, or motorcycle in one of our storage units providing it fits. No, you must remove all of your belongings from the premises when you are going through your things or when vacating.
We require that you give us 10 days notice when you decide to vacate your storage unit. You can print the vacate notice on the forms page and send it or drop it off at the facility. Alternatively, you may also fill out and submit your notice online.
Yes. We offer a wide variety of boxes and packing supplies at all of our storage locations for your convenience.
