All our leases are month to month. It is that simple. You may prepay for an extended period of time if you wish.
What hours during the day do I have access to my belongings?
All our facilities have 24 hour access, 7 days a week. The facilities are fenced and controlled by electronic keypad entry. You may come and go as you deem necessary.
Do I put my own lock on the space I rent?
Yes. You put your own lock on the unit. We sell locks at all the facilities if you need one.
What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check, money order, Master Card, Visa, Amex and Discover. We also offer a worry-free automatic credit/debit card payment plan.
Is there a dumpster on the grounds?
No, you must remove all of your belongings from the premises when you are going through your things or when vacating.
Yes, you are responsible for the insurance on your goods. In some cases your home owners or renters insurance policy will cover the storage of goods at a storage facility. Storage insurance is also available at all of our facilities We recommend that you check with your insurance provider before you come into rent.
Climate controlled units are designed to reduce the humidity build up. This is done by keeping your goods from freezing and overheating and by circulating the air. All of our climate controlled units have both heat and A/C. We keep our thermostats set at 55 on the low end and 75 on the high end. We also circulate the air on a continuous basis. We do not use a humidity control system. We offer climate control units at our Litchfield, Torrington, Canaan, Sheffield and Windsor locations.
Yes, at our Torrington, Windsor and Litchfield CT facilities we offer a Free Move-In Truck. To take advantage of our Free Move-In Truck all you need is a credit card, a drivers license and insurance.
How do I calculate how much storage space I need?
You can use our Unit Size Estimator as a guide to calculating how much space you need. We highly recommend that you visit the facility and personally look at the size you are interested in before you rent.
How much notice must be given when I move out?
We require that you give us 10 days written notice when you decide to vacate. You can print off a vacate notice on the forms page and then either send it in or drop it off at the facility.
Do you offer RV/Boat/Trailer/Car/Motorcycle parking?
At our Torrington and Windsor facilities we offer outdoor parking for recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, cars, and motorcycles. At all of our facilities, except our Litchfield location, you can store your car, trailer, or motorcycle in one of our storage units providing it fits. What types of security do you provide?
It varies from facility to facility. All of our facilities are fully fenced with electronic keypad access. In Litchfield all the access doors have magnetic locks with keypad access. At many of our facilities we have installed video cameras with monitors and recording devises.
Yes, all of our non-climate controlled units are ground level and in most cases you can drive your car right up to you unit. Our inside Climate Controlled units are easily accessible with loading docks or doors you can drive up to. There are no stairs and no elevators at any of our facilities.
